Last Wednesday, DTU Compute had the great pleasure of welcoming H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs for the United Arab Emirates, along with his delegation. The Minister is very interested in artificial intelligence (AI), and we - DTU - Technical University of Denmark | DTU Compute - were happy to help. Thanks for the opportunity to you and the Danish delegation!
During the visit, DTU's President Anders Overgaard Bjarklev, DTU Compute's Deputy Director, Professor Nicola Dragoni, and Head of Section, Professor Lars Kai Hansen presented the research and discussed the future with AI.
One of our startups, BrainCapture, also explained their business case. Brain Capture has developed BC-1, a revolutionary mobile EEG device that enables high-quality EEG recordings on-site. BC-1 consists of a portable amplifier, an EEG electrode cap, and a smartphone app connected via Bluetooth. (See the photo at the top of the page)
The system is designed to be user-friendly and can be operated by healthcare professionals after brief training. Brain Capture's cloud platform allows remote reading by experts and offers EEG as a service. The startup was originally based on research at DTU Compute in the cognitive systems research section.
The UAE Minister, Abdullah bin Zayed, is on a tour and, in addition to Denmark, he will visit France, Sweden, and Finland. In Denmark, he also met with the HM King Frederik X, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and visited the Danish Parliament.
